What was supposed to be a fun little family holiday in Millport turned sour for Ashley Taylor, 26, when she was bitten by the Brazilian wandering spider while out walking on the isle of Cumbrae in Scotland. Considered by most to be the most deadly spider in the world because of its powerful venom Ashley was rushed to hospital and miraculously managed to make a full recovery. However, upon returning to the island the next day to collect her belongings from the caravan she and her family were renting for the weekend she encountered the Australian inland taipan snake which also struck her.
It is not known exactly how she managed to come across both of these deadly species who are not native to Scotland within 2 days apart from sheer bad luck.
Our thoughts are with Ashley and we hope that one day she can look back and laugh at the whole thing when she wakes up from the coma.
